This evening I made a shoebox that contained a variety of gifts for the Samaritan’s Purse charity. This is children’s Christmas project where gift-filled shoeboxes are sent to disadvantaged children across Eastern Europe, Africa and Central Asia. It’s such a good cause! I’ve been gifting these gift-filled shoeboxes for a while during my Junior/Secondary School years but had stopped once I went to uni. Since my aunt was talking about it so much lately and went shopping with mum and me today, it made me want to fill a shoebox too so I went ahead a bought a whole load of pens, books, stickers and a cuddly toy (it’s sooooo soft!) Once I stuffed it all in, it felt heavy and the lid almost didn’t close… I took some photos of my progress while wrapping my shoebox.
If you want to gift a shoebox filled with presents, just head to the following website to donate online! http://www.operationchristmaschild.org.uk/ You can either fill your own shoebox, else use their Shoebox World service to make one for you for only £11. Go donate now :)
