Being Nerds and Geeks at the Science Museum

My friend Nat came up to London on her day off for a visit and we decided to go to the London Science Museum for some fun.

We haven’t been to the place in such a long time that everything had moved, changed or been renovated. It looked more modern than it used to but still a lot of floors to cover. There was a lot of exhibits but I really enjoyed the ones with the vehicles and planes. We even saw a VCR in there! Time flies…

We saw a cross section of a 747 and the amount of thin padding you have between the cabin and the external metal is miniscule. Its amazing how it holds up and scary at the same time!

The day was spent photo bombing each other at the museum and searching for the kids area; because that’s where all the fun lies!

We ended the day with nice food from Giraffe.

Thanks for coming up to visit me for an early birthday Nat!

What is your Science Museum like? Do you enjoy visiting museums?

With Love,
Kekidoll xoxo

  1. That looks like a cool museum! I usually find science museums more interesting than other types :) That is kind of scary when you see the thin layer between the cabin and outer metal on the plane though, haha. I’m glad you had a good time with your friend!

    • Agree! I prefer Science museums more too, they have more to do and everyone can find something they like to look at :)
It’s weird when you think about how close you are to the outside when sitting in the window seat O_O

  2. HAHAHAH You know when things get old when you see a VCR LOL. I love museums but too bad there aren’t too many around in my area. There’s one main science one and it’s fun but it’s undergoing some renovations so most of the good stuff are not even around right now which sucks. Great place to bring kids though because the kids area is sooo much fun LOL. Makes me feel like a kid again.

  3. Museums are always fun! Especially the Science museum! I remember the first time I went to one and that was way back when. They had this one contraption were you rode half way across and fell in a net that was from the second story. It was a pretty cool place. Sometime this year, my boyfriend and I went to a Natural history museum (I think) about one place I had lived at. It was pretty cool. I took pictures, but of course, I had to reboot my phone and lost my pictures :( . I hate it when that happens! I lost all the pictures!

Baking is always fun! I enjoy it a LOT. When I lived off on my own, no roommates or anything – I would cook my dinner, and if I got the urge I would bake. One time I made peanut butter cookies, but I didn’t have all the ingredients so they turned out like pancakes! LMAO. Ah well, live and learn.

I love arts and crafts! I really do! I got into it when I had become disabled (long story). I started getting into painting ceramics, and then into jewelry making. It was nothing like the jewelry I’m gonna start making this coming year of 2014. The jewelry that I will be possibly making is with washers, and some names on the washers. You’ll see. I got the idea when browsing sites on Facebook and than on Pinterest. So Pinterest is a great way for crafts. I maybe selling these ideas in the near future if they come out the way I expect them too.

    • Oh wow! That sounds like a very cool contraption!
Ah, It does getting annoying when photos get deleted. You can’t share them no more! :(

I have to agree, I live with housemates but it’s okay, they don’t mind me baking in the kitchen. But it’s hard for me to find ‘guinea pigs’ to eat my baked goods.

Sounds amazing! Can’t wait to see the necklaces :D
