So long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehn, Goodbye

One of our longest members in our TKD group, Shaun, left us to go immigrate to Canada where his family are. We wanted to wish him a wonderful farewell and to not miss us so much. A secret farewell party training session at Southend-on-Sea on the beach was therefore planned.

Abid, Shaun and I

The whole group had a fun filled time at the arcade, fairground and on the beach. We managed to also grab a whole family of Racing Rabbids! (Yes we went a little mad on the UFO catcher)
Massive Raving Rabid Family!

I wanted to go on one rollercoaster, so I went on the biggest one which cost me £6. I was also questioned if I really was sure since it had an almost 90° drop to which I replied, “I’ve been on Oblivion in Alton Towers, this is nothing” I don’t blame him for not knowing me but I’m a thrill seeker ^_^
Lets get ready to roooll!

When we got to the beach for donuts and ice cream, we sat Shaun down for speeches and to give him a farewell gift, a Rocky bathrobe that said Champion (He won gold in the Student Nationals). He absolutely loved the present and even though knew it wasn’t a training session, still changed into his doobuk and did some poomsae by the waters. It looked cool!
The boys were kicking the punch bag lol

I had a really fun day out with my TKD family and we’ll miss the sexy legs of his. He’s so darn tall that I get scared to spar against him QwQ
We will miss you big guy

Shaun, we wish you all the best for the future!

Warm wishes,
Kekidoll xoxo

What a cool place to be with awesome friends.

  • Aww, that is such a nice farewell party to give your friend! It’s really sad when a friend moves away to another country… I’m sure you’ll still be able to contact each other, though! :)

Sounds like you had fun! We call celebrations like those [farewell parties] “despedida.” Yeah LOL. Those are always fun. :3 With social networking, the internet and technology these days, I know you’ll be able to keep in touch. :)

    • Oooh that’s an interesting name!
That is very true! We’ve all linked up to Facebook and Twitter so we can’t lose contact!

  • I’ve never been to Southend, but it’s somewhere I feel like I’m going to have to go even just once. It looks/sounds like you had a nice day to say goodbye. It’s always good to do go out on a high.

    • I think it’ll be a lovely place to visit! There are beaches, arcades and amusement parks all along the seafront. The Fish and Chips there are nice too!

  • Looks like you all had a great time! I want one of those racing rabbits, lol. My daughter is really good at those games.

    • The UFO catcher is always fun! I wanted the whole set of Raving Rabids but I don’t think I could fit them all at home :(

  • I’m absolutely horrible at the UFO catcher…if its what I think it is. I can never seem to get anything decent out of it. :( Of course, the ones near me usually don’t have anything decent in them, so I suppose that it’s not that big of a loss. I’m glad to hear that you had a pleasant time with your TKD family, even if it was for a sad occasion. :(

  • That is sad to be losing a friend but it is great how you guys got to have one last good time together. It looks like a lot of fun too. I love the Attack on Titan edits you added to one of the pictures, it has me laughing. XD
